The topic of discussion today is the OSRS Recipe for Disaster Freeing sir Amik Varze quest. This is one of the ten OSRS Recipe for Disaster subquests in which you must free one of the members in the secret meeting. It would be great if you can free them all in one quest, but that is not the case.
In the OSRS RFD Freeing sir Amik Varze quest, you will have to make a crème brulee supreme and then give it to sir Amik Varze. This is the only way that you can free sir Amik Varze.
Quest Requirements
For the OSRS RFD Freeing sir Amik Varze quest, you must have 107 Quest points and access to the Kharazi Jungle. Also, you have to start the Legends’ Quest and to complete Family Crest, Heroes’ Quest, Shilo Village, Underground Pass, and Waterfall Quest.
Items Needed For The OSRS Recipe for Disaster Freeing Sir Amik Varze
machete (as well as Radimus notes if you haven’t completed Legends’ Quest)
Dramen staff or Lunar staff to enter Zanaris
Dramen branch to make cinnamon
Pestle and mortar
Ice gloves
Raw chicken
Bucket of milk
Pot of cream
Pot of cornflour
Any axe
Food, armor, and weapon
Bring a prayer potion if you have 43 prayer
Anti-dragon shield
Lumbridge Castle
To start this OSRS RFD Freeing sir Amik Varze quest you go to Lumbridge dining room and inspect sir Amik Varze. Then Gypsy will tell you that you can free him by giving him a creme brulee. Go talk to the Cook and he will tell you how to make Crème Brulée Supreme.
First mix milk and cream, add a pot of cornflour, a vanilla pod from the Kharazi Jungle, the egg of the Evil Chicken, and cinnamon, made by crushing a dramen branch. Then, you must flambé it using a dragon somehow.
Exit through the back door of the kitchen and head into the forest located between Lumbridge and Draynor. Go north until you reach Mill Lane Mill northwest from Fred’s farm. There you can grind your sweet corn into cornflour, make sure that you have an empty pot in your inventory.
Climb up the ladder to the top floor and use the sweet corn on the hopper, walk south to the hopper controls and choose the operate option. Climb back down the ladder to the first floor, empty the flour bin and now you have a pot of cornflour.
Next, you need to go to the Kharazi Jungle, once you are at Shilo Village go talk to one of the jungle foresters with your radimus notes in your inventory. Enter through the dense jungle by chopping the trees with your machete. Then go to the southwestern shore of the jungle, where you will find a vanilla plant.
Search the vanilla plant and you should have a vanilla pod. Now we must go to Entrana but first go to the bank to deposit all of your weapons, your axe, and a machete. If you don’t want to kill the zombies with your foot and speed up the process take some runes.
When you are ready to go to Port Sarim, talk to the monks on the dock to take you to Entrana. Once you’re there go northwest to the Entrana dungeon, talk to the monk outside the dungeon and after he drains your prayer points you will go down.
Go a bit west and kill 3 level 25 zombies, take from them a bronze axe and go south until you reach the Dramen tree. Now cut a branch from the Dramen tree and then use your dramen branch on the pestle and mortar to make cinnamon. Make your way to Draynor Village and talk to the Wise Old Man about the Evil Chicken.
Choose the option about wanting to ask him something, and ask to talk about strange beasts, and then, ask about the Evil Chicken. Head to the bank and prepare yourself to fight a Black dragon and the Evil chicken, bring your Anti-dragon shield, dramen staff or Lunar staff, some food, and armor.
Go to Zanaris, equip your anti-dragon shield, and use a raw chicken on the Evil Chicken shrine north of the fairy ring. You will be teleported into the Evil chicken lair, head north, and run past the black dragons. Kill the Evil chicken and it will drop the evil chicken egg, take the egg and head back towards the black dragons.
Equip your anti-dragon shield and kill one of the Black dragons. If you are ranging or using a halberd, there is a safespot just inside the corridor that leads to a mine. When it dies, the dragon will drop a token which you need to pick up.
Back in a bank, add the egg to the brulee, and then, grind your dramen branch into cinnamon with your pestle and mortar and add that too. A game message should now tell you that “Now it just needs flambeing.” Put your ice gloves on, and then, rub the token.
K’klik will appear, wish for it to flambé your brulee to cook it. You will likely die if you don’t wear any ice gloves. Travel back to Lumbridge Castle and then give the brulee to Sir Amik Varze to protect him.
