I'm a big fan of these three enhancements. When it comes to balanced play Accelerate offers those longer striders, like Halaand, a useful purpose to counteract the meta that is fast and short-sighted players. My only issue is in the general direction of HyperMotion 2 and how it affects team defense. These days, Volta Football and Pro Clubs have been folded into one neat section, and they coincidentally both suffer from similar issues.
The reality is that the hell of the world is not just other people and nowhere is that more evident as in Pro Clubs, where drop-in games are brimming with wingsmen who overpower the AI with outrageous calls to play the ball. It's enjoyable to build your create-a-pro into a Shrek-adjacent goal-killer with a closet full of silly hats but when your progress is linked to your rating in-game that you're encouraged to execute moves that are a waste of time and skill that even Saint-Maximin wouldn't bother with.
However, FIFA's street soccer model, Volta, suffers a similar fate. The proof is in the new "Take Flight" Signature Ability that turns you into an aerial master. Because the power relies upon crossing and teamwork, most people simply select Power Strike and haphazardly smack the ball to celebrate a winning run.
The positive side is that it seems EA has listened to my pleas for an improved Volta Arcade, so I fully credit the fact that it's been upgraded to a battle royale style filled with silly minigames as well as obstacle courses that are reminiscent of the best aspects of Fall Guys. I'm still not convinced that it's only available on weekends, though.
