Those five videos will then feature in a RuneScape weekly survey
The competition starts today, and you've got until the closing date of 25th August to publish your videos on the YouTube site. When the entries are in, Andrew, Mark Gerhard and a few video-hungry members of the Community Management team will then shortlist five finalists. Those five videos will then feature in a RuneScape weekly survey, allowing the community to choose their favourite.
We will then send them off with an armful of signed Jagex goodies.
Please note that all videos must be reached within RuneScape (live action is not machinima), and must be submitted via YouTube. We cannot accept entries sent to the Postbag or even Gallery email. I was searching through my bank today while in the Grand Exchange in order to find stuff I could sell. I discovered some Bronze/Iron armor I couldn't be asked to sell because it would be worth next to nothing. I then carried out a little test to determine how greedy RuneScape F2P is and dropped an Iron Med helm just out of the way of the crowd. I then waited a moment or so for this to appear to the others and lo and at that moment it does 10 people run from the crowd and try to grab it. I was gobsmacked. Some of the horde was wearing adamant and rune armor too! I could not believe there could be many people scrambling for an item that's only worth 55gp!
I then bought a list of lobsters for battle training and only had a couple gp left in my stock from the 3k or so I took out of my bank, and so I decided to drop that and see exactly what occurred. As I expected, even more people scrambled the 20gp I dropped. This has dropped my already low opinion of some of my fellow F2Pers (not those in this discussion of course!) even more. I can't believe some people are so desperate for additional things or money they'd do something like that. I hate this even more than the men and women who stand at the GRAND EXCHANGE whining about how poor they are.
