Want to stop wasting money of your guildies? Quit blaming Blizzard and start trying to be better. Kill the opposing faction, dispell their buffs but realize there's a place in which you go from just playing a video game to consciously doing whatever you can to destroy the night(PLUS the 3 hours they waited in queue) of someone on the opposite side simply because you believe it was amusing. Just confirmed the lvl 41 priest alt that camped for hours and hours transferred his priest to earthfury solely to continue doing so. Mains are still on incendius that he only wanted to continue harassing people. I think this confirms it's not just pvp on a pvp realm, it's something completely different.
Among the arguments that makes more sense (to me) in this argument is that there is (almost) always a way to fight against the aggressor. Simply call more people in, if you can not do it alone. This can create conflicts between many guilds, where world pvp is the very fun, which is. Therefore, a person dispelling world buffs for 8 hours might be a pathetic excuse for a human being. Or, they could be hoping that somebody comes and attempts to prevent them, which would create fascinating world pvp. Which could be very, very improbable, I agree, but it is still possible.
I recall on a wotlk private server there would be a tauren warrior camping low degree pursuit hubs such as stv or darkshire. I would bring my druid to stop him every time I saw him somewhere around low level zones. It established some fascinating dynamics, his ability was clearly improving, beat me a couple times by the end, it was interesting for reduced degrees to watch just two dudes fight in the middle of city, it was nice to be thanked by them, etc.. There wasn't any doubt that the tauren warrior wasn't doing so just to find fights. Not only was it very uncommon for low levels to ask for help on international chats (so I would be logging onto a horde account to /who), but also towards the conclusion he began spamming insults at me before becoming muted by GM's so... yeah.
But it was fun times. Following that, I started thinking differently about ganking and other type of"toxic" behavior that I used to hate. Even ambushing a dude that's low wellness and obviously cannot fight back, it can be done in order to preserve this atmosphere of risk which, I think, is the reason all of us love pvp servers. Not just the dude who got ambushed will now be more careful about how poor he permits his health to collapse, but he will also be looking for retribution so the ganker currently must watch out also.
If it comes to extremes such as several max level WOW players camping low levels, or 3 rogues camping a songflower, it becomes more difficult to make it into a"fair" fight: the low degrees would have to log their mains, or ask their guild, or even ask on international stations for aid, the guilds that are getting killed or dispelled while gathering world fans have to rally several people in the guild or rally individuals from different guilds, and it's more annoying because nobody actually wants to move that far, interrupt what they're doing or shed their entire world fans when the aggressors could just log out for 10 minutes, come back and do it again. But it can, technically, result for everyone in some fun times.
